9th March 2018; The School of Chemical Engineering welcomes Professor Datuk Dr. Asma Ismail as part of her scheduled visit to USM’s schools and centres of excellence. Also present were Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry & Community Network), Professor Ir. Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohamed, Professor Dr. Phua Kia Kien, Director of the Institutional Development Division, (BPI) and Professor Dr. Lee Keat Teong, Director of Research Management and Creativity Office, (RCMO). Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor visited the School of Material and Mineral Resources Engineering within the Engineering Campus.

Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh City on January 19 held an award ceremony honoring four Vietnamese and foreign scientists who won the Ton Duc Thang University Scientific Prize 2017.

The School of Chemical Engineering is proud to announce that Tharveen Raj Rajalingam, a Final Year Chemical Engineering student won First Prize in the Photo & Essay Competition organised by the Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council (MPOCC). He bagged RM1500 during the announcement of all the winners in July.
