Alumni Talk by Ir. Md Nabil Ab Adzim bin Saifuddin Re-engineering & Design of Subang Aviation Fuel Terminal: From Project Management Perspective
28 April 2016 - The School of Chemical Engineering, was very delighted to have Mr. Ir. Md Nabil Ab Adzim Saifuddin as an invited speaker to talk on a very specialized topic entitled; “Re-engineering & Design of Subang Aviation Fuel Terminal: From Project Management Perspective” as part of the EKC 109: Introduction to Project Management undergraduate course. He has initially been involved with the project during his industrial attachment with MECIP Global Engineers Sdn Bhd, a leading engineering service provider and consultant in oil and gas sectors based in Kerteh, Terengganu. Nowadays, he still continues to serve the firm as an associate consultant, on part-time basis. Ir. Nabil is currently a permanent faculty member of the School of Bioprocess Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis.
The course coordinator, Dr. Azam Taufik Mohd Din welcomed the speaker and later gave a brief introduction to the audience of whom from Year 1 of the Chemical Engineering programme. The talk was held in KCK2 Lecture Hall and lasts for about one-and-a-half hours. Ir. Nabil briefly shared his experiences and technical know-how related to the engineering project management, including the safety aspect of the work, project life-cycle and engineering process design.
As one of the USM’s Chemical Engineering alumni [B.Eng (2003), MSc. (2011)], Ir Nabil also reminded the audience to register with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) upon completion of their undergraduate study. This is part of the requirements if they were to become a professional engineer (P.Eng) in the future.
