accreditation

The Chemical Engineering program offered by the School of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is accredited according to Malaysian Quality Frameworks (MQF) with the supervision by the Malaysian Quality Agency (MQA). USM has been awarded a Self-Accreditation status by the MQA on 17th May 2010 and is made responsible for strictly self-enforce undergraduate programs quality accreditation procedures internally. The audit process is carried out through the Code of Practice for Institutional Audit (COPIA) and Code of Practice for Program Accreditation (COPPA).

Our Chemical Engineering program is also accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC), Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) which is a signatory member of the Washington Accord since 2009. Thus, the Chemical Engineering program at USM is recognized internationally. The Board of Engineers Malaysia is a statutory authority that represents the engineering profession and regulates the standard for engineering education practices in Malaysia.
