April 10, 2014 - In an exciting race of overall 49 teams in the 9th Chem-E-Car competition organized by the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), USM team - 4 TYN team from School of Chemical Engineering has won first prize in the poster presentation category.

 

14 April 2014 - Pusat Pengajian Kejuruteraan Kimia, USM, telah menerima kunjungan seramai 31 orang pelawat dari Fakulti Kejuruteraan Kimia, Syiah Kuala Universiti, Banda Acheh, Indonesia, yang terdiri daripada 3 pensyarah, 2 pelajar Doktor Falsafah dan 26 pelajar Ijazah Pertama.

 

2 April 2014 - Selaras dengan aspirasi Pusat Pengajian untuk membudayakan amalan keselamatan dan kesihatan pekerjaan, satu sesi taklimat tentang keselamatan khususnya daripada aspek kebakaran dan cara-cara pencegahannya di tempat kerja telah diadakan di Dewan Kuliah 5, Kompleks Dewan Kuliah, Kampus Kejuruteraan mulai jam 2.30 petang untuk semua warga PPK Kimia termasuk pelajar Ijazah Pertama dan Ijazah Tinggi. Taklimat yang memakan masa hampir satu jam tersebut telah dikendalikan oleh United Asia Fire Prevention Service Sdn. Bhd.

(Feb 08, 2014) Dr. Lim Jit Kang from School of Chemical Engineering (PPKK) is one of the recipients of The Takeda Entrepreneurship Award for this year. The Takeda Young Entrepreneurship Award praises young entrepreneurs or entrepreneurial individuals who challenge technological or social needs in the real world. This award was conferred to JitKang based on his idea of using low field gradient to magnetophoretically separate microalgal cells from fishfarm water. The award ceremony was held at Tokyo University and JitKang has also delivered an invited talk related to his project.
