USM, 11 April 2016 - Pusat Pengajian Kejuruteraan Kimia (PPKK) telah mengambil bahagian dalam program Hari Terbuka Universiti Sains Malaysia bagi tahun 2016 bertempat di Dewan Peperiksaan Kampus Induk. Program tersebut telah diadakan pada 9 April 2016 (Sabtu) dan 10 April 2016 (Ahad), dengan tagline "PAKAT MAI MASUK USM ".
The National Chem-E-Car Competition held in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, Johor this year marked the 11th year of the joint collaboration of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia, (IEM) and Department of Chemical Engineering from universities, either Malaysia's public or private institution of higher learning.

He is the recipient of numerous international awards, particularly in the areas of biotechnology, bioengineering and energy Currently, he is also the Editor-in-Chief of Bioresource Technology (Elsevier). The visit was arranged by the Research Creativity and Management Office (RCMO) as part of the activities for Professor Pandey to closer interaction with researchers in this university during his working visit to USM recently.
30 Mac 2016 - Anugerah Akademik Negara (AAN) mengiktiraf golongan pendidik agar meningkatkan tanda aras pendidikan negara. Perbincangan secara langsung ini ini telah dihoskan oleh pengantara Astro Awani iaitu Saudara Dzulfitri dan tetamu undangan, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohamed, Pensyarah Pusat Pengajian Kejuruteraaan Kimia, Pengarah Kampus Sains, USM merangkap Timb. Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pemilihan AAN ke-10 dan Prof. Madya Dr. Jaafar Jantan (Pengarah P(BPPA) Bahagian Pengurusan Pembangunan Akademik di Saluran 501 Awani pada siaran jam 8.30 malam 29 Mac 2016.
